  • Some of the information in this book has completely rocked my running world as I have always known it! McDougall describes, in nice detail, why we should not look to those ultra-expensive, technologically advanced, flashy running shoes. Barefoot running is the natural way to run and the way humans have done it for 1000s of years. He explains that there has been absolutely no studies that show that wearing such running shoes provides positive benefits to the wearer/runner. Surprisingly, McDougall writes that, ever since the advent of the traditional running shoe, the number of running-related injuries has increased dramatically!
  • I am currently trying to process all of the information provided in this book. I plan to do my own researching and plan to read ChiRunning next. Due to the running pains that plague me, I am planning to use this winter season to revamp my mindset when it comes to running. I want to instill positive, life-long changes in the way I run. I already find running to one of the most pleasurable activities there is and love it to the core. I don't love the cracking and popping in my knees.
  • Runners and non runners alike should read this book. It tells a great story that would be of interest to anyone and includes bonus running-related topics for those runners who read it.
  • Enjoy this hardcover.
  • Cheers and happy running.
